Last night we hosted a quick holiday cocktail gathering as a gala committee kick-off meeting in support of the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Our ‘family’, Bill, me, Ethan, Lindsey, Maxwell, Lexi, and Sarah, is chairing the upcoming event on Saturday, June 8th, 2024.
I’m quietly dipping my toe back into volunteering time and treasury for not-for-profits after a too long break.
It’s fun having our kids in the loop; blending age and experience with youth and new ideas.
Anyway, I spent yesterday roasting a couple of tenderloins, blanching green beans and broccoli, making crudité, a green goddess dip, and baking two batches of Christmas cookies. My husband brought in a case of wine, and bingo, we had a fun time meeting new humans. I’m in my element opening our home and serving food, and we finally have a kitchen counter and a working faucet, so why the heck not. Sharing good cheer is a good thing anytime of year.
Every day dress and a cocktail meeting for twenty.

Love love the counter. Where’d you get the Ethan preferred tenderloin?
Thank you!
