When it’s a Tuesday afternoon and it already feels like it’s been a long week, sometimes the thing to do is kick back and roast a couple of chickens. One carved for the table, one for presentation and sandwiches later. Remember multiples? Apply that to your cooking as well. Time for a food post anyways.
Follow Ina and you can can have roast chicken in an hour and a half. Super simple. Add some frozen organic peas, mash some Idaho potatoes from the pantry, stir up some gravy, and slice some fresh strawberries for the spinach salad. Do a simple vinaigrette with 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 2 teaspoons dark brown sugar, 3/4 olive oil whisked in slowly, kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. Add linen napkins, potted hydrangea to the table top, serve al fresco, and a roast chicken dinner makes everyone happy.
No fresh bread here tonight, no time for the grocery today, potatoes filled the bill and we had plenty of real butter. Butter is love.
Yesterday it was cropped grey flannel and fitted ruched pearlized tee. Today, after work on a Tuesday went for the faded cropped denim and super loose v-neck tee.
Roast chicken, two, on a Tuesday, and butter is love.
