With nowhere to go I’ve been making lunch a high point of the day. Cooking soothes my soul. I’ve been buying a ‘big box’ of fruits and vegetables once a week from a market in Watertown MA. It’s a big outing when I take a twenty-minute road trip to pull up to the drive through for a drop into the trunk. Extra points if I park the car and venture around the outdoor nursery, there I’ve picked up some herbs, early season annuals and a few perennials for the new garden.

Today it was pasta broccoli, and butternut squash soup, all made from what was in the big brown box with the exception of some scratch vegetable stock I had on hand frozen that I brought from Buffalo.

Jackie, thank you for the Russo’s tip. Every day dress, doing lunch up at home.
