creme brulee for fourteen

Click here EveryDayDress for first video post, scary, we’re working out the kinks.

Here are the special characters for the post title: Créme Brûlée for Fourteen. Couldn’t quite get it for the headline, oh, well.

Last week Saturday cooked dinner for house proper and three kids home from Boston MA and houseguest from Chicago IL. It’s always a party, the theory here is if you can read, you can cook. Continually step out of your comfort zone, everyone needs to eat, and most are appreciative of your efforts. This video shows dessert. Leg of lamb, perfect, standing rib roast, overdone.

  1. Love the Video!!! Do more!

  2. Congratulations on your first Vlog! Thanks for always inspiring us..Well done.

  3. Yep, use a Home Depot torch for créme brûlée — not one of those so-called kitchen torches. It makes all the difference! Looks great, Rebecca!

  4. Hey newsflash Becky… maybe for your next vlog, you should learn how to use spellcheck. Viola is an instrument.

    • Thank you for reading and commenting. Yes, will try and use spellcheck, noticed a few other misprints as well. If we waited until it was perfect, would never get off the mark. Kind of going with getting it out there.

    • Too bad there isn’t a grammar/punctuation check: your snarky comment could benefit from it. Thank you for the irony. Oh, and please share a carefully thought-out, helpful how-to vlog that YOU’VE created. What…….none? Didn’t think so.

  5. This is a long overdue comment on your video… I think that it’s a perfect vehicle for you…it allows us to see your fabulous personality! Also, imagine the possibilities for future “how to” videos!!! Wonderful!

    • Copy that! Great job. 🙂

  6. LOVE the video! Enjoy reading your blog so much. When I’m so tired and just feel like I can’t do it, I remember that it doesn’t have to be perfect, just from the heart. I see so much love in all you do for your family and friends – truly inspiring! Most of all, my daughter loves when you say “butter is love” – we say that too! Too funny.

    • Thank you, yes, indeed, butter is love. And after this last trip to France I am thinking that cheese is love, too! Thanks for reading and for your nice comment. So well said, it does not have to be perfect, from the heart is the best. Life is often messy 🙂
