Winding down a long weekend can feel bittersweet: teenaged children scattered here and there, they have some of their own night-time plans now, and oldest son in DC and haven’t heard a word. So, husband and I wound it down by hopping in the car and driving out to ski country for dinner with friends and hill-side orchestra music and fireworks.
