January Happenings

I’m not sure it gets any better than this.

I’m not sure where the month of January has gone, it seems I’ve blinked, and we’re welcoming in February this week. We did up and went south; we’re currently posted up in St. Petersburg, FL. The oldest son, wife, and grandson have been here, the second daughter arrives Friday, and the first daughter, husband, and two more grandchildren come Saturday.

I made box cupcakes, and I must say they were quite delicious.
Ethan and Rory trying out the new bike and buggy.
I enjoyed this, especially the notes about cooking and food.
Thank you, Jackie, for the recommendation. I look forward to our discussion.

We celebrated Bill’s birthday with box-made cupcakes, not my usual, yet they hit the spot. We bought bikes, adding another way to log our customary exercise minutes. I’ve been a regular at yoga, aligning the body and the mind. Two books have been read, Home Sweet Maison, The French Art of Making a Home by Danielle Postel-Vinay, and The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray, both page-turners, the first being a bit of a how-to and the second an excellent piece of historical fiction.

Collecting shells with Rory. I always love a striped sweater and classic denim.
Track pants and sneakers with the little.
Pure JOY.
Post-yoga fuel.

We watched plenty of football, and we’ve been to the beach.

Thank you, kind January. Here’s looking at you, February.
