Six Recent Looks

After the breathless holiday run-up, the inevitable, lengthy, holiday run-down, and an almost expected but not welcome and brutally exhausting run-in with Covid, I’m finally getting to a simple every day dress post and sharing here six contemporary looks from December.

Black blouse, black leather jeans, open-knit cardigan, black lug sole boots for walking to dinner out in St. Petersburg, FL
same blouse, same jeans, different shoes, different days, the same week. I like to invest in good pieces and wear them often.
For a car trip to Naples, FL, I wore a sleeveless white bodysuit, bisque suede pants, the open-weave cardigan from before, distressed sneakers, and a cross-body white bag. I love the look of a white bag in winter.
For dinner out at The French in Naples, FL, I wore a white blouse with metallic threads, this new fun jumpsuit, black boots (husband strongly dislikes them, yet I wear them anyway), and carried a structured, top-handled patent black bag.
For dinner out Day 2, I wore the black blouse from before, black velvet sequin pants, a pretty flat sandal (so easy to pack!), and carried the top handle bag. These gorgeous new pants haven’t had enough time to play, and I will wear them this month and next, even though they might be considered ‘holiday.’
some versions of grey sweatpants are in everyone’s rotation; here, I paired them with a black silk tank for an at-home, winding down look

Today, Tuesday, January 18th, will be my first full day of professional back to work since mid-November. I’ll be in Zoom meetings looking at all things Spring 22 and couldn’t be more hopeful about the possibilities of the New Year ahead.

Whatever your last few months have looked like, I hope you too feel a sense of promise and renewal.
